TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING FELLOWSHIP

TEXT:1 JOHN 1:1-3

INTRODUCTION
Fellowship means intimate sharing .It is a sharing of oneness both inwardly and outwardly It means love that originated from the spirit. .It means brotherly care and concern with the affairs of other Christians without pretense.
2 Cor 13:14
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
1 John 1:2-4
. 3 We announce to you what we have seen and heard, because we want you also to have fellowship with us. Our fellowship is with God the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to you so you can be full of joy with us.

1 Cor 1:8-10
Jesus will keep you strong until the end so that there will be no wrong in you on the day our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 9 God, who has called you to SHARE everything with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
OUR QUALIFICATION
The only reason why we dare to have fellowship with God, in the sense of sharing things in common with Him, is that He has raised our status through the death and resurrection of Christ (Eph 2:4-7)

Prayer
Oh God help us to live together in fellowship in Jesus name.

YOU DO NOT BECOME A SAINT BECAUSE OF WORKS Many times believers have called those who teach the truth about benefits of Christ death, burial and resurrection as those who teach the diluted Gospel but in actuality, they are those teaching the undiluted Gospel. The Gospel is not the mind of men. It does not have to appear pleasing to any man’s hearing to be the truth. Christ came into this world to take away the sin of the world. And he did it by offering His body for sin to die in the flesh. John 1: 29 ¶ The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD, WHICH TAKETH AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD. GAL 1: 4 WHO GAVE HIMSELF FOR OUR SINS, THAT HE MIGHT DELIVER US FROM THIS PRESENT EVIL WORLD, ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD AND OUR FATHER. HEB 2: 17 WHEREFORE IN ALL THINGS IT BEHOVED HIM TO BE MADE LIKE UNTO HIS BRE...

GOD IS THE FATHER OF SPIRITS MAN IS THE FATHER OF FLESH Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather BE IN SUBJECTION UNTO THE FATHER OF SPIRITS, AND LIVE? In the Old Testament, God was not known as a father. He was only a circumstantial God with diverse names based on the situation he created to reveal Himself to a particular person at a particular time. Consequently, many have seen God manifest in their lives in a particular situation at a particular time that made them give   God names according to the situation H created for the revelation. These names are as follows. Jehovah shama, Jehovah Nissi,Jehovah Elohim, Jehovah Adonai etc. God was not known as a father in the Old Testament because God can only beget spirit born by the incorruptible word. 1PE 1:23 BEING BORN AGAIN, NOT OF CORRUPTIBLE SEED, BUT OF INCORRUPTIBLE, BY THE WORD OF GOD, WHICH LIVETH AND ABIDETH FOR EVER . ON THE CROSS On the cross both sin and man died but Christ did not die. He was made sin for the body of sin to die in man and not in God. As God He cannot die, But as man He took on the body of sin on the cross for sin to die through his death. Roman 6: 6 knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed,( NOT THE BODY OF CHRIST ) that henceforth we should not serve sin.( 2Cor 5: 21) FOR HE HATH MADE HIM TO BE SIN FOR US, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him  On the cross man died with Christ for sins that man would be dead to sin and free from sin. Ro 6:8 Now IF WE BE DEAD WITH CHRIST, we believe that we shall also live with him: 2Tim2: 11 It is a faithful saying: FOR IF WE BE DEAD WITH HIM, we shall also live with him: Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin  Because man died with Christ man became dead to sin. Rom 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer ...
