        HOW WE COULD MORTIFY/SUBDUE OUR MEMBERS/WORKS OF THE FLESH
Many believers think that staying away from the works of the flesh is what makes them to please God. No. God has been pleased with us in Christ .But staying away from the works of the flesh is one of the ways to exercise the abilities of the recreated human spirit.  The ability to mortify the flesh emanates from the recreated human spirit invigorated by the Holy Spirit to bear his fruit.
  Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh ( be carnal), ye shall die (be dead, death, be slain) : BUT IF YE THROUGH THE SPIRIT (OUR HUMAN SPIRIT INVIGORATED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT) DO MORTIFY ( SUBDUE) THE DEEDS(WORKS) OF THE BODY (FLESH), YE SHALL LIVE (QUICK,LIVELY)
.Col 3:5 ¶ MORTIFY THEREFORE YOUR MEMBERS which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry
 Romans 6:13 NEITHER YIELD ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: BUT YIELD YOURSELVES UNTO GOD, AS THOSE THAT ARE ALIVE FROM THE DEAD, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God .
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit
(Eph 5: 3-9) ¶ But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of GOD UPON THE CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 FOR YE WERE SOMETIMES DARKNESS, BUT NOW ARE YE LIGHT IN THE LORD: WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT: 9 (FOR THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS IN ALL GOODNESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUTH;)…Not was or will be… BUT IS…
 The ability ot mortify or subdue the flesh lies in every believer. But most time we allow our mind to detect what how we respond to some issues that makes the works of the flesh to manifest through our bodies. Theses abilities are in us to be used. Christ has already abolished the law and sentenced sin to death forever. When we accept Jesus Christ, our spirits become recreated to exhibit these qualities for us to enjoy grace not for us to please God. GAL 5: 22-23 BUT THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS(REMAINS)  LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONGSUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH,. 23 MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE: AGAINST SUCH THERE IS NO LAW. Anytime we are faced with the challenge for manifestation of the works of the flesh we should know there is a corresponding demand on our recreated human spirit to USE one of the fruit of the spirit in us which is in all goodness and righteousness and truth to overcome the challenge. We should be sensitive to know which one is demanded. The light we are shines anytime the fruit of our recreated human spirits is needed. . The works of the flesh find its expression through our member. Most times they are generated through our unrenewed  minds  but not from our recreated human spirits( Gal 5: 19-21). 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest,(externally appear) which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, THAT THEY WHICH DO (PRACTISE,COMMIT) SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. ….The believers manifest the works of the flesh but unbelievers do it .It is their lifestyle and they cannot inherit the kingdom of God. The believer manifests THE WORKS OF THE FLESH when he or she is overtaken by the flesh but that does not make us unbelievers….WE ARE CHRIST’S .( Gal 5:24-25) AND THEY THAT ARE CHRIST'S HAVE CRUCIFIED THE FLESH WITH THE AFFECTIONS AND LUST
 The fruit of the spirit is the abilities imparted in our recreated human spirit to make us live victorious over our flesh (senses).We mortify our members for ourselves not for God. It makes us live maturely in every challenging situation rightly dividing the word of truth. Mortifying the flesh makes us quick or lively. It puts us more in tune with the voice of the Holy Spirit. It is our duty for subdue the flesh not God’s duty for us. We have to constantly speak in tongues and grow in the knowledge of Christ to be constantly in tune with the voice of the Holy Spirit telling us how to administer the fruit of our recreated human spirit to mortify the flesh daily.
Most preacher leave their members under condemnation every service by telling them that manifesting the works of the flesh is sin and they also being a victim of their ignorant messages. But that is not the Good News. The Good News is that Christ died for our sins once and for all. Therefore we are dead to and free from SIN. Thank you Jesus.

GOD IS THE FATHER OF SPIRITS MAN IS THE FATHER OF FLESH Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather BE IN SUBJECTION UNTO THE FATHER OF SPIRITS, AND LIVE? In the Old Testament, God was not known as a father. He was only a circumstantial God with diverse names based on the situation he created to reveal Himself to a particular person at a particular time. Consequently, many have seen God manifest in their lives in a particular situation at a particular time that made them give   God names according to the situation H created for the revelation. These names are as follows. ON THE CROSS On the cross both sin and man died but Christ did not die. He was made sin for the body of sin to die in man and not in God. As God He cannot die, But as man He took on the body of sin on the cross for sin to die through his death.
